Mirza Mohammed Amin Mangoori

Mirza Mohammed Amin Mangoori
He was born in 1910 in Qaladze. He started his education with Mullah Mohammed Deluyi. He was sent to school and studied until the sixth grade. After a while he went to Sulaimani and was employed as a policeman.
He began writing poetry as a teenager. In 1937, he was imprisoned for six months by the Iraqi authorities for publishing the book A Step to Success. After his release, he became a municipal employee and later employed in the Water Office in Chwarta.
In 1946, he was appointed deputy commander of the Bokan forces.
In 1971, after publishing his book Journey to Mars, he was expelled from the city of Bitwen at the instigation of some mullahs.
He died on the night of 12-01-1988 and was buried in Saywan Hill. After thirty years, on 19-06-1992, his grave was moved to Gormriyam Height in Kewarash Mountain.
During his lifetime he wrote many valuable books, some of which unfortunately have yet to be published.

Mirza had a high national position and never compromised on his positions. In 1978, he participated in the poetry festival of the Kurdish Writers Union in Sulaymaniyah. He was one of the poets participating in the festival who fearlessly read national poetry despite the presence of a number of Ba'athist men in the hall.
He loved the freedom of his country so much that he bequeathed that whenever the night of subjugation disappeared from the country after his death, he would be brought out of the grave and his body washed.[1]
