The artist his full name is Azad Wahab Abdulrahman he was born in 1958 in #Khanaqin# township. He entered the world of art in 1977 due to his passion for art. He has many songs and patriotic anthems many of them the texts are from the Luri folklore poems.
In 1979 he went to the mountains and joined the Kurdish revolution. In 1984 he became a member of the Martyr Karzan Band.
In addition to his artistic works, he worked as a presenter on Kurdistan People's Radio. He documented the history of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) media and he wrote the history of the time between 1975-1991 in a book entitled (Madena, History and Bibliography of the PUK Media).
Azad Khanaqini died of an illness on #01-05-2006# in #Sulaymaniyah# and was buried in the martyrs cemetery in Sulaymaniyah.[1]
