She was born in 1966. She graduated from the Baghdad Academy of Fine Arts (1984-1988). She has lived abroad since 1991. In 2000, she obtained a master's degree in theater and anthropology from the University of Vienna. She received his PhD in 2006 and was awarded the Austrian Art Prize for 2022 for the Lalsh Theater Labor project.[1]
