The human rights lawyer, who was the longtime president of the Istanbul Human Rights Association (Ihade), has been a lawyer for Kurdish women who face gender-based violence and Turkish state forces for 13 years. Eren Keskin, who openly uses the word Kurdistan in all his panels and discussions, was previously imprisoned for a year for speaking it.
