Barzan Khalid Aziz known as Barzan Mala Khalid. He was born in the Big Murtka village that belongs to Qushtapa in 1945. He finished primary school in murtka and secondary school in #Erbil#, by the end of high school during the spring of 1966 he joined the peshmerga forces the second battalion force of Safin, for a year he was teacher of the revolution.
He was transferred to the radio of Voice of Iraqi Kurdistan during the autumn of 1968, the radio was stationed in the Sarde cave near Qasre there he was a reporter until the agreement of 11th of march.
from 1971 to 1974 he worked in the Erbil city center town hall. At the beginning of 1974 after the commanders of KDP decided to reestablish the radio by the command of the executive bureau he came back to work in the radio.
After the Eylul revolution he immigrated to #Mahabad# of eastern Kurdistan, but he was transferred by the Irani government to Lahijan near the city of Gilan. On 20th of October 1975 he came back to Iraq but he was transferred to Rumadi and Faluja by the Iraqi government.
In the spring of 1979 he rejoined the revolution and he was the director of media department of Kurdish Socialist Party.
In 1982 he rejoined KDP as member of the media department of the party and was the director of Kurdish Sorani unit of KDPs radio.
In 1986 he was transferred to the second branch of party in the area of Lolan and sheikh Wasanan and was the Head of the second branch of the Kurdistan Democratic Party.
From 1988 until 1990 he was KDPs representative of Kurdistan coalition which was knows the kurdistani sides media department, with the help from the members of the other parties they were publishing a newspaper under the name “The Kurdistani Side”.
In December 1990, he was transferred to the Voice of Kurdistan radio again and worked there until the 1991 uprising.
He was elected as a member of the Kurdistan Parliament on #19-5-1992#, In May 1993, he was appointed as the Deputy Minister of Culture of the Kurdistan Regional Government.
In 2006, Barzan Mala Khalid suffered from heart disease and underwent heart surgery. Later he retired due to his condition. In 2010, he received the Barzani Medal.
Barzan Mala Khalid passed away on the night of 25-08-2020 at Liv Hospital in Ankara due a heart disorder.[1]
