He was a prominent writer, journalist and translter.
by looking at the small map of Kurdish literatue and publications, we reach the conclusion that many prominent and special writers are the ones who didn’t have the opportunity to have a proper school education rather with their endless endeavor and will they continued and they are the graduates of the school of life and experience. My dear friend Burhan Qani (1935-#27-06-1985#) , he is from a small village with the name Bardalani Nawe in Sharazoor, due to his socioeconomical condition he couldn’t finish school. In a very young age his father Qani sends him to the Kurdish Poet Piramerd’s house there he learns more about writing and reading and develops love towards it, and his father’s support will be an extra motivation for him. During the revolution of #14-07-1958# he becomes a writer in the (Peshkawtn) newspaper, later in (Dangi Kurd) newspaper, through his writings and poems he gets to know more intellectual people, he had published many beautiful and nice publications in these newspapers. In 1960 for the first time with another 14 writers and poets wanted to form a union for Kurdish writers many prominent writers like Shakir Fatah, Mala Mohammed Khal, Kamaran Mukri, Muharam Mohammed Amin, Ramzi Mala Marif participated in this request and in the 109th number of Peshkawtn newspaper on #14-04-1960# they published the names.
In 1970 he was an active member of Rizgary magazine publication staff, later he worked in newspapers and magazines like: ( Hawkari, Roshinbiry New, Bayan) and in Kurdish intellectual agency actively. In 1980 he worked in the Kurdish revolution’s cultural agencies and had many publications, before his death he had many projects for translation and publication, he managed to publish many literary works and many remain as a draft, if death have had let him he was a publication house by himself.[1]
