Die AKP-geführte Stadtverwaltung im westtürkischen Derince hat ein Konzert der kurdischen Sängerin Aynur Doğan verboten. Die Veranstaltung werde als „nicht geeignet“ angesehen, heißt es lapidar zur Begründung.
Die von der islamistischen AKP geführte Stadtverwaltung des Landkreises Derince in Kocaeli hat ein für die bevorstehende Woche geplantes Konzert der kurdischen Sängerin Aynur Doğan verboten. Die von einer privaten Firma organisierte Veranstaltung, die im Amphithetaer Derince stattfinden sollte, sei nach durchgehender Prüfung durch die Stadtverwaltung als „nicht geeignet“ eingestuft und untersagt worden, heißt es lapidar zur Begründung.
In sozialen Netzwerken rollt derweil eine Empörungslawine an. Viele User sehen in dem Vorgehen der Behörde in Derince eine Diskriminierung der Kurdinnen und Kurden und werfen der Stadtverwaltung antikurdischen Rassismus vor. Zahlreiche Einträge bei Twitter deuten zudem auf eine organisierte Hetzkampagne von AKP-Trolls gegen Aynur Doğan hin. Augenscheinliche Anhänger der Regierungspartei von Staatspräsident Recep Tayyip Erdoğan diffamieren die Künstlerin in Tweets an die Stadtverwaltung Derince als „Terroristin“.
Aynur Doğan hat sich bislang nicht zu dem untersagten Konzert in Derince geäußert. Die Sängerin tritt heute in der Philharmonie Essen im Rahmen des Weltmusik-Festivals „Sounds of East to West“ auf.

Botschafterin der Kulturen

Aynur Doğan ist eine der bekanntesten Sängerinnen aus Kurdistan. Mit ihrer außergewöhnlichen Stimme und Bühnenpräsenz zählt sie seit mehr als zwei Jahrzehnten zu den wichtigsten Botschafterinnen des kurdischen Volkes auf internationalen Bühnen. Sie trug kurdische Volksmusik immer wieder in die internationalen Bestsellerlisten und leistete ihren Beitrag dazu, dass kurdische Musik in den letzten Jahren selbst in der Türkei ein zögerliches Comeback erfuhr — trotz aller Repressalien und traumatischen Erinnerungen an die Zeiten, in denen kurdisches Kulturerbe in der Türkei systematisch verdrängt wurde.
Geboren in Dersim, entdeckte Aynur Doğan die Musik allerdings erst, als sie nach Istanbul ging, um ihr Gymnasium abzuschließen. Bald wurde man auf ihre klare, tragende Stimme aufmerksam. Ihre Bühnenpräsenz ist so groß, dass der spanische Produzent und Gitarrist Javier Limon es so ausdrückt: „She is a reason to love live music for centuries.“ Mit dem 2004 erschienenen Album „Keçê Kurdan“ wurde sie weit über die Landesgrenzen hinaus bekannt – und zu einem Gerichtsfall. Die Platte wurde sogar zensiert und verboten. Der Vorwurf der türkischen Justiz lautete, die Sängerin würde junge Frauen beeinflussen und sie dazu aufrufen, sich am Kampf in den Bergen zu beteiligen.
2005 wurde diese Zensur aufgehoben und ihre Präsenz in der Türkei war deutlich stärker. Sie war als kurdische Sängerin in dem türkischen Film Gönül Yarası (2005) zu sehen. Dies ist insofern etwas Außergewöhnliches, da die kurdische Sprache und auch Teile des Alphabets verboten waren bzw. unterschwellig noch sind. Im selben Jahr wurde Aynur Doğan vom deutschen Regisseur Fatih Akin in seinem Dokumentarfilm Crossing the Bridge – The Sound of Istanbul porträtiert. 2011 verließ sie die Türkei. Die Anfeindungen und Repressalien aus dem türkisch-nationalistischen Lager zermürbten die Künstlerin. Seither wohnt sie in Amsterdam, tourt aber regelmäßig durch Kurdistan und die Türkei.[1]
