Kürt meselesi hakkında sizin fikrinizi bilmiyorum, daha kesin bir karara varmanız için bunu yazıyorum. Damat Ferit bana geldi, sulh anlaşmasına göre Kürtler ayrı bir devlet olacaklar. Kürt liderleri Mustafa Kemal'i sevmezler, çünkü o bolşevikliği getirmek istiyor. Siz Mustafa Kemal'den nefret ediyorsunuz. Çünkü o sizin yaptığınız anlaşmayı kabul etmiyor. O halde Kürtleri Mustafa Kemal'e karşı birlikte kullanalım, dedi... (İngiliz Belgelerinde Türkiye, Erol Ulubelen, Çağdaş Yay. s:264) Aynı İngiliz Amiralinden Lord Curzon'a gönderilen bir başka raporda “Kürdistan, Türkiye'den tamamen ayrılıp özerk olmalıdır. Ermenilerle Kürtlerin çıkarlarını bağdaştırabiliriz. İstanbul'daki Kürt Kulübü Başkanı Said Abdülkadir ve Paris'teki Kürt delegesi Şerif Paşa emrimizdedir...” denilmektedir. (Sayfa no:49, belge no:33, tarih 26 Mart 1920)[1]
