She was born in the city of Erbil, south Kurdistan, and completed her primary, secondary, and high school education that same city.
After receiving her bachelor's degree in Kurdish language from Baghdad University, she went to Moscow, Russia to complete her higher education. In 1977, she received her doctorate in philology from the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Soviet Academy.
- From 30-09-1978 to 30-10-1982 she was appointed Head of the Department of Kurdish Language at Sulaymaniyah University and later at Salahaddin University, Erbil.
- From 01-11-1982 to 30-10-1987 she was expelled from Kurdistan and sent to Baghdad.
- On 06-10-1984 she was appointed secretary of the magazine (Bayan).
- On 108-12-1984, she was appointed secretary of Roshnbiri Nwe magazine and later deputy editor of that same magazine.
- On 01-11-1987 she returned to Kurdistan and was employed at Salahaddin University.
- On 08-10-1991 she moved to the Netherlands.
- From 01-11-1996 to 01-11-1998 she worked as an expert and evaluator in the translation center in the Netherlands.
- From 01-12-1998 to 01-05-1999, she supervised the preparation, rewriting and publishing of Kurdistan Dictionary in Aras Publishing House.
- On 22-11-2000 she was appointed as an active member of the Kurdistan Information Center.
- Since 18-06-2001, she has been the editor-in-chief of Shawshka, a seasonal cultural magazine for women.
- On 02-06-2002 she established Shawshka Center for Cultural Activities.
- On 25-12-2005 she was elected as the president of the Kurdistan Information Center.
- On 26-11-2006 she resigned from the Kurdistan Information Council.
- On 18-03-2007 she was elected as the secretary of the Kurdistan Women's Union.[1]
