He was born in 1939 in Sulaymaniyah, South Kurdistan, where he completed his primary and secondary education. In 1962, he received a bachelor's degree in history from Baghdad University and later became a history teacher.
In 1980-1981, he was arrested for political activities against the regime. After his proud escape, he took the road of exile and settled in Sweden as a political refugee. He was employed at the Uppsala Regional Archives in 1987 and continued his work until his return to Kurdistan. During this time, he collected a large archive of the Kurdistan Republic.
Mr. Mahmoud, as a talented writer, has contributed to many newspapers and publications, both open and secret, and has written many articles and research in Kurdish and Arabic. In addition to several translated works, he has published the following books:

- Komari Milli Mahabad, first edition 1984, second edition 1987,
- Roots and roots of the history of the Kurdish struggle to Iraqize and the Kurdistan issue, 1986

- Kurdistan Republic State (Letters and Documents), Volume 3, Stockholm
He was also an active journalist and worked as the editor-in-chief of Kurdistani New newspaper. Therefore, at the beginning of the publication of Gzing magazine, he was one of the contributors and collaborators of the magazine.
Mahmoudi Mullah Ezzat returned to Sweden from Kurdistan to seek medical treatment, passed away on 04-05-2005 in Uppsala.[1]
