Bayan Mahmoud Ali, also known as Bayan Bomba, was born in 1965 in Kani Askani neighborhood of Sulaymaniyah. She graduated from the theater department of Sulaimani Institute of Fine Arts Sulaymaniyah school activities.
In 1923, during the conflict between Sheikh Mahmoud Hafid and the British, the people of Sulaymaniyah were asked to leave the city because it was being bombed. When Bayan's father Mahmoud was born, the first ball hit Hapsa Khani Naqibi's house. The midwife shouted, 'Oh, well, Mahmoud Bomba is born’.
Bayan Bomba began her artistic career in 1974, when she participated in school activities and acted in the third grade of primary school. She grew up with art and later studied theater academically at the Institute of Fine Arts and participated in dozens of plays, dramas, and films.
Acting has not been easy for Bayan Bomba, but like any other woman, she has faced the obstacles of society, but as she says, she has revolutionized to reach the present. Because society still does not recognize women's abilities.
“Kurdish men think that actors have romantic relationships with all men, but the opposite is true, and women artists are very aware of their behavior and reputation.” Says Bomba.
Although she has suffered a lot because of her art, Bayan Bomba is a prominent comedian who avoids the tragedies of her life and conveys her message to society with her jokes.
The artist, who often plays the role of someone who gossspis a lot, asked Rojnews why and she said: “I want to tell the society that this is an ugly and bad behavior and should stop.
The drama Gardaloul, directed by Jalil Zangana, was one of the dramas that gave many actors the opportunity to become famous, and Bayan Bomba is one of the actors who made Gardaloul more popular.
According to her, Bomba evaluates the text before participating in any film, drama, or play, then decides to work. If she doesn't like a text or a staff, she is not ready to work with them.
Bayan Bomba sends a message to women in the four parts of Kurdistan to work for their passion and not be afraid of anything.[1]
