A Rudaw documentary titled “Sleeping in Ruins
A Rudaw documentary titled “Sleeping in Ruins
ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - A #Rudaw# documentary titled “Sleeping in Ruins” was awarded the best cinematography award at the History Film Festival (HFF) in Croatia on Saturday.
The documentary was produced by Horen Gharib while Hardi Qadir and Haider Omar were the cinematographers in Mosul. It depicted the suffering of people at the hands of the Islamic State (ISIS) from 2017 to 2019.
This is a product of hard work, Qadir told Rudaw from Croatia on Saturday.
HFF provides a stage for a wide variety of historical issues interpreted by film authors in diverse ways. It was held in Rijeka from Tuesday to Saturday.
The festival boasts of being the only international film festival in the world to be focused only on historical documentary films made by TV companies and independent production companies.
Throughout the five-day festival, 22 films were screened.
The documentary was produced in 2019 and was first screened in Sulaimani’s Salim cinema on July 3.
