Shahla Namq was born on 25-06-1977 in the city of Sulaymaniyah, south Kurdistan. She graduated from the Department of Painting in 1997-1998 of the Sulaymaniyah Institute of Fine Arts.
After several years of teaching. She returned to the beautiful world of painting, and became a student at the College of Fine Arts of Salahaddin University for higher education in the city of Erbil.
She has played a significant role in the fields of culture, journalism, painting, and recruitment. She was also the secretary of Kurdish Culture and Folklore Association, a member of the editorial board of Kurdish Culture and Newroz Calendar, a member of Kurdistan Journalists Union, Kurdistan Artists Union, and a member of Hawkar Group in Erbil.
In addition to motifs and cover designs for magazines, books, and booklets of poets, she has also organized events and commemorations of the Culture Association and celebrated Newroz.
Together with the author of this article, she prepared the program (Wardila), which was a diverse folklore program for the Kurdistan People's Voice, which was also presented by the artist (Shahla Namq).
