Proteste gegen den Mord an Nagihan Akarsel
Der gezielte Anschlag auf die kurdische Aktivistin #Nagihan Akarsel# hat Wut und Entsetzen ausgelöst. Nach Angaben der Sicherheitskräfte in Silêmanî wurde der Attentäter gefasst, in Kurdistan und Europa haben Proteste stattgefunden.
In Deutschland, Frankreich und Belgien haben Protestaktionen gegen den tödlichen Anschlag auf Nagihan Akarsel stattgefunden. Die aus Konya in der Türkei stammende Aktivistin der kurdischen Frauenbewegung ist heute in Silêmanî in Südkurdistan bei einem gezielten Anschlag ermordet worden.
Nagihan Akarsel war eine bekannte Persönlichkeit in der kurdischen Community und seit dreißig Jahren politisch aktiv. Sie arbeitete lange Zeit als Journalistin und Autorin und war aufgrund ihres Engagements in der kurdischen Frauenbefreiung jahrelang im Gefängnis. In Rojava förderte sie die Bildungsarbeit im Bereich der Jineolojî, in Şengal betrieb sie Feldforschung zur Situation von Frauen nach dem vom „Islamischen Staat“ (IS) begangenen Genozid und Femizid. Zuletzt arbeitete sie mit Frauen aus Südkurdistan im Forschungszentrum für Jineolojî. Eines ihrer laufenden Projekte war die Einrichtung einer kurdischen Frauenbibliothek.
Nagihan Akarsel wurde vor ihrer Wohnung auf offener Straße erschossen, es wird von einem politischen Attentat durch den türkischen Geheimdienst ausgegangen. Nach Angaben der Sicherheitskräfte in Silêmanî sind die Täter inzwischen gefasst worden, Informationen über ihre Identität wurden nicht bekannt gegeben. Unbestätigten Angaben zufolge wurde der Attentäter auf dem Weg in das von der PDK kontrollierte Hewlêr (Erbil) am letzten Checkpoint der YNK gefasst.
„Die Frauenrevolution lässt sich nicht aufhalten“
Der Mord an Nagihan Akarsel hat Entsetzen und Wut ausgelöst. Die Gemeinschaft der Frauen Kurdistans (KJK) bewertet den Anschlag als Teil des patriarchalen Gegenangriffs auf Frauenbewegungen weltweit, am Tatort in Silêmanî wurden Blumen niedergelegt. In Nordkurdistan und der Türkei haben Frauen in Dutzenden Städten protestiert, in Amed und Istanbul kam es zu Polizeiangriffen und Festnahmen. In Europa hat der kurdische Frauendachverband TJK-E zu Protesten und Solidarität aufgerufen und darauf hingewiesen, dass mit dem tödlichen Anschlag auf Nagihan Akarsel eine der ursprünglichen Verfechterinnen der Parole „Jin Jiyan Azadî“ ermordet wurde. Das kurdische Frauenbüro Cenî e.V. in Berlin und die Initiative „Women Defend Rojava Deutschland“ forderten in einer gemeinsamen Stellungnahme, dass die Normalität, mit der der türkische Staat gezielt Aktivist:innen ermordet, gebrochen werden muss.
Die kurdische Frauenbewegung reagiert kämpferisch auf die Ermordung ihrer Aktivistin, die KJK erklärte: „Egal, was sie tun, sie werden uns nicht daran hindern können, unsere Freiheit zu verwirklichen, sie werden den Weg der Frauenrevolution nicht blockieren können. Wenn eine von uns fehlt, werden wir ihren Platz mit Tausenden füllen. Diese Realität zeigt sich heute am deutlichsten in Rojhilat [Ostkurdistan] und Iran, in den Aufständen, die als Reaktion auf den Tod von Jîna Amini organisiert wurden.“[1]
