He was born on June 24, 1978 in Saqiz, East Kurdistan.
On 22nd of spring 1996, he began his struggle for freedom, democracy, equality, justice and the end of national oppression.
He has worked for Radio Dengi Kurdistan, Kurdistan newspaper, magazines: Lawan, Agri, Zhn, Gulan, Raman, Ewara Gulan, Tishk, Biri Xordan, Ashti, Regay Azadi, radios and televisions: Peshketn, Gulan, Lawan, Chawder, Brayati, Shorsh. He has published articles, translations and literary texts on Radio Ashti, Radio Zrebar, Dangi Kurd, Habun, Qalam, Sardam and dozens of websites and blogs.
In 1999, with a group of writers from South Kurdistan, they have published five books published by Sardam Publishing House.
From the summer of 2000 to the summer of 2002, he sought asylum in Turkey, then moved to Sweden, where he remained until early 2006. In addition to his studies, he worked in politics and later published the Kurdish magazine Rezwan in Swedish with his friends.
Rahim Rashidi has been interviewed by many different radio and television channels such as Free Europe, Farda, BBC, Germany, Israel, USA, France, Kurdsat, Kurdistan TV and Roj TV on issues related to the Kurdish issue and the political situation in the region.
He has translated four books into Kurdish: In Africa, Always in the Middle of Summer, Principles of Democracy, Civil Struggle, Women's Rights, Human Rights, and a number of other articles, which are scheduled to be published as books in the future.
Since the beginning of 2006, he has chosen to work as a journalist and in addition to various responsibilities in the television, he has developed his efforts in the field of writing, translation, presentation and announcer.
He will soon move to the United States to live and study and may officially begin his work with the media there after settling down.
Journalist Rahim Rashidi is currently a member of the International Federation of Journalists and the Swedish Union of Journalists.[1]
