Hero Hussein Mohidin (born 1989 in Kirkuk) is a Kurdish poet. She began writing poetry at the age of 12 and published her first poem at the age of 15 in the newspaper Kirkuki Amro.
In the year 2007, she published his first book, My Burns in the Flying Season.
In the year 2013, she published his second book, Denoosm Yousef, in Sulaymaniyah.
In the year 2008, she won the Youth of the Year Award of the Ministry of Culture of the Kurdistan Regional Government.
From 2005 to 2016, she worked as a journalist in newspapers, magazines and publications, both literary, cultural and social.
In the year 2012, she graduated from the Department of Kurdish Language, College of Humanities, Kirkuk University.
In the year 2017, she received his master's degree in literature from Charmo University.
In the year 2020, North Kurdistan poet and translator Osman Mahmoud translated Dinivîsim Yûsif into Kurdish and published it by Avesta Publishing House in Istanbul.
Hero Kurda's poems have also been translated into English, French and Spanish.
In 2016 and 2019, Kirkuk poet and writer Ahmadi Mullah translated a selection of her poems into French and published them in La Règle du jeu magazine.
In 2018, American poet and translator Alana Marie Levinson Labros, Shene Mohammed and Pashtiwan Kamal Babakr translated three poems into English and published them in World Literature Today magazine in the United States.
In 2022, Kurdish translator Zhiar Homer and Chilean poet Gabriela Paz translated another selection of his poems into Spanish and published it at the Fundación Pablo Neruda in Chile.[1]
