Amin Mohammed was born in 1962 in Sulaymaniyah. He is married and has two daughters and three sons. He started writing poetry in the early 1980s. In 1986, he published his first poem in the magazine Karwan. He participated in many poetry conferences in the 1980s in Sulaymaniyah, Erbil and Halabja. In 1991 he became a member of the Kurdish Writers Union Sulaymaniyah Branch. In 1991 he published his first book called Halwest. He published poetry in many Kurdish magazines and newspapers. In 1988, his first poem was translated into Arabic and published in the magazine Shams Kurdistan. He has been writing for children since 2008 and has published six books of poetry:
1- House of Rain, a collection of poems for children.
2- New Friends, a collection of poems for children.
3- Children's Imagination, a collection of poems for children.
4- Little Bee, a collection of poems for children.
5- The Frog's Dream, a collection of poems for children.
6- Song of the Clouds, a collection of poems for children.
7- Barsila, a collection of poems for children.
He has translated stories for children from Arabic and published them in magazines. He has written a book of stories for children called “Fish Dance” and has published poems and stories in all children's magazines. He has published a research on children's literature. He has collected all the poems of AA Shawnm and published them under the title Diwani AA Shawnm. Most of his poems have been composed and made into songs by artists and broadcast on channels. He has been honored by several places and parties. Such as the Kurdish Writers Union Sulaymaniyah Branch, Bakhi Mir Kindergarten in Halabja, Kurdistan Safe Children and several other places and parties.[1]
