Biography
Engineer and politician Nawzad Hadi Mawlod Mohammed joined the ranks of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) in 1992, was a delegate to the 12th Congress (1999), and in 2010 was elected as a member of the leadership council in the 13th Congress. He was the governor of the city of #Erbil# between the years 2004-2019.
He was born in 1963 in Erbil. In 1987, he received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Salahaddin University, Erbil. In 1996, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Transportation in the third cabinet. He was the president of the Erbil branch of the Union of Engineers. He was appointed governor of Erbil from 2004-2019. He is fluent in Kurdish, Arabic, and English.

From 1992 to 1996, he worked at the Central Media Bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP). In 1992, he worked as an electrical engineer in Voice of Kurdistan Radio and was a member of the branch committee of the second branch. In 1997, he was appointed deputy minister of transportation in the fourth cabinet and he was in that post until 2004. He is fluent in Arabic, English and Persian. He is married and has three sons and an only daughter.
He was a delegate to the 12th Congress (1999) and in 2010 he was elected as a member of the Leadership Council of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP).[1]
