Ashti Osman Sharif was born in 1957 in the Sabunkaran neighborhood of#Sulaymaniyah# . He completed all his education in Sulaymaniyah. In 1970, there was a significant revival in the field of literature and art. Ashti Danish was born into a patriotic family. His family was engaged in artistic work alongside political struggle. Therefore, he was not unfamiliar with acting. He started by imitating. He participated in many school activities in primary school. In 1971, they jointly established a student troupe. The first of these troupes' artistic works was the play (New Director, Kifr Ahmad) which was performed in the theater of Surkew School. Later, the troupe continued its artistic works and performed several plays, including:
- The play (تۆڵەیەکی بەخوێن شۆراو A Revenge Cleaned With Blood) in 1972.
- The play (Yes Sir) in 1973, was staged in the theater of #Sulaymaniyah# High School.
In 1975, he participated in the play (The End of Tyrant), written by Sherko Bekas and directed by Badia Dartash. That year, they won first place in Iraq, it was the product of school activities. In 1975, he joined the Sulaymaniyah Acting Troupe as an actor. He participated in the first television drama called Shamama and Khal Khal, which was broadcast on Baghdad television. Together with (Yasin Qadir Barzanji) and several artists in Bakrajo Agricultural High School formed a theater troupe for two consecutive years and won several awards. In 1976, he participated in the play (File 67) which won first place in the Sulaymaniyah Festival with Yasin Qadir Barzanji directed by Osman Chewar.
He then continued his career in the Sulaymaniyah Acting Troupe and worked with several artists including Ahmad Salar, Ghazi Bamarni, Badia Dartash, Osman Chewar, Kamran Rauf, Jalil Zangana, Hussein Misri, Arsalan Darwish, Mariwan Ibrahim, Zuher Abdulmasih, Osman Fares, Jaafar Ali, Hunar Salim, Dana Ali Saeed, Hawre Mustafa, Jawan Bamarni and many others other. He has participated in more than 60 theatrical productions, dramas, and films. Some of the works he has participated in as an actor are:
His plays include License: When the Eagle Flies High, Light, Court, I'm Not One of You, File 67, and The End of the Oppressor.
Film and drama work (Drama Black Police, Drama Storm (Gardalool)Part 1 - 2 - 3, Drama Calendar of a City, Drama Worry of Sparrows, Drama Kharand, Drama Arazoo, Drama Sarab, Chawilka(Glasses), Nargis Bride of Kurdistan, Shero 67) The Vague, The Holy Hill, The Play of Ali Khan of Tebriz, The Play of the Men's Drum, The Play of the Strike, (The Play of File 67) He has been awarded several awards for his artistic contributions. In addition to his artistic work, he has worked in many other fields such as presenting radio programs and dramas, publishing theatrical articles in newspapers and magazines, and publishing two television scripts as books entitled (Witness and Laughter of the Beggarشایەت و پێکەنینی گەدا). In 1984, he worked with his fellow artists in the Salar Theater Group. He was a member of the board of directors of the group for many years and also the managing director of the magazine (Shano) published in Kurdish and Arabic languages which had 24 volumes copied. His latest work as an actor is the drama (Sarab) in 2017 directed by Mariwan Ibrahim. Apart from his artistic work, Ashti Osman was an employee of the Sulaymaniyah Public Library and the managing director of the newspaper Asoy Ktebxana(The Horizon of Library).[1]
