The present article provides an overview of the Kurdish women’s rights struggle in the Kurdistan region of Iraq. Throughout the history of the mentioned region, Kurdish women have been struggling for their rights in their society but they have not received their rights yet. Having said that, the current work tries to shed light on how the Kurds, in their region, strive for women’s rights and gender equality socially, economically, politically, and personally. The purpose of this article is to spread awareness concerning the noted situation in the Kurdistan region of Iraq. The latter has, unfortunately, been experiencing insufficient attention regarding women’s rights and equality among males and females. It should be noted that the struggle for equality between the sexes has been prevented by aspects such as cultural customs, an underdeveloped educational system, and incorrect political interference.[1]
