'Süslü Kadınlar' Diyarbakır’ı bisikletle turladı
#Diyarbakır# ‘da Dünya Otomobilsiz Kentler Günü kapsamında, Süslü Kadınlar Bisiklet Turu gerçekleştirildi.
Diyarbakır'ın Kayapınar ilçesindeki Park 75'te düzenlenen etkinlik öncesi açıklama yapan Sema Gür, kadınların kendilerini temsil etmelerine fırsat vermek ve güvenli bisiklet altyapısı talebini pekiştirmek için yola çıktıklarını söyledi.
Dünya Otomobilsiz Kentler Günü kapsamında bisikletin günlük hayatın bir parçası olmasına dikkat çekmek amacıyla Süslü Kadınlar Bisiklet Turu etkinliğinde Türkiye'de ve dünyada binlerce kadının aynı anda pedal çevirdiğini dile getiren Gür, şunları kaydetti:
Bisikletin hayatın bir parçası olmasına dikkat çekmek amacıyla düzenlenen Süslü Kadınlar Bisiklet Turu kadınların toplumda daha fazla görünürlüğünü sağlamak, kendilerini temsil etmelerine fırsat vermek ve güvenli bisiklet altyapısı talebini pekiştirmek için düzenlenmektedir. 2013 yılında ilk kez İzmir’de bir grup kadın tarafından düzenlenen Süslü Kadınlar Bisiklet Turu her yıl yeni şehirlerin katılımı ile büyüyerek uluslararası bir bisikletli kadın hareketine dönüştü.
Gür, geçen sürede İtalya'dan Almanya'ya, Kanada'dan İran'a birçok ülkede binlerce kadının bisiklete binmeyi öğrenmesine ve bisiklet kullanımını günlük hayatlarına dahil etmelerine vesile olduklarını belirtti.
Açıklamanın ardından etkinliğe katılan bisikletli kadınlar, trafik ekiplerinin gözetiminde pedal çevirerek, Sur İlçesinde bulunan İçkaleye kadar geldi.[1]
