Dersim olayları, son yıllarda siyasal alanda çok sık tartışılıyor. Tarihsel bir yıkımın siyasal alana taşınması ve akademik alanda tartışılır olması sevindirici, çünkü yaşanan acıların gün yüzüne çıkması ve bu acılara yol açan siyasal-zihinsel kodların anlaşılıp bu tür durumlardan ders çıkarılması benzer acıların yaşanmasına engelleyici olabilmektedir.
Dersim'de yaşanan olaylar günümüze kadar birçok bağlamda ele alındı ve ele alınmaya devam ediyor. Bunlardan biri de medya. Kendisini üreten söylemi yeniden üretmesi ve çok çabuk yayması sebebiyle medya incelemelerinin önemi tartışılmazdır. Nitekim medya, yaşanılan dönemin iktidar söyleminden azade tutulamaz ve egemen kurumların kodlarını kullanır.[1]
