His full name is Ahmad son of Wasman pasha Mohammed pasha Kaikhasraw Bag Sleman Bag Abdullah Bag Tayer Bag of Jaff, and his mother was Adila Khan of Jaff. He was born in 1896 in the city of #Halabja#. Ahmad Mukhtar Bag is interpreted in the alphabet as 1316 AH, which is the date of his birth, that is why he was given that name.
Although he did not graduate from schools and other higher education places, he was an intelligent and meticulous man. In addition to Kurdish, he knew Persian, Turkish, Arabic and a little bit of English. He even wrote several verses of poems in the Persian language. He and his brother Tayer Bag of jaff are known and considered as two great Kurdish poets. This talented poet wrote poetry in all fields and his patriotic poems are considered to be among the leading national poems of the beginning of the last century. Ahmed Mukhtar Bag because he belonged to a powerful and famous Jaff tribe, Ahmad Mukhtar Bag was also involved in politics and state affairs. He was a loved person among people that loved helping others and he was the governor of Halabja city for a while, then he became a member of the Iraqi Constituent Assembly and the House of Representatives. On #06-02-1935# while he was crossing the Sirwan river he was assassinated by some dishonest and psychopaths and was his tomb is next to Tayer Bag of Jaff in the village of Ababayli near Halabja.[1]
