Mohammad Ahmadi, also known as Sayed Mohammad Safayi, was born in 1311 of the Solar calendar (1932 of the Gregorian calendar) in the village of Blooz in Hawshar region, Eastern Kurdistan. He was illiterate and could not read. He married three women during his lifetime. He lived in Iraqi Kurdistan for four years He lived in Tikab, Sain Qala, Bokan and Saqiz. His family still lives in Saqiz. He lived with Hassan Zirak in a house in Tikab, Sain Qala, Bokan and Saqiz. His family still lives in Saqiz.
Artist Seyed Mohammad Safaee recorded many songs in gatherings, events, and dining rooms of Hawatoo, Teleko and Hawshahr areas. In festivals and national occasions, Seyed Mohammad's songs are always used to honor his memory. With his songs, Sayed Mohammad has always preserved the folklore, social customs, and traditions of his region, especially in the field of clothing and dialect.
Most of Sayed Mohammad Safaee's songs are folklore and he has played a major role in keeping Kurdish folklore alive. He has been the most successful singer in the region so far. The recordings available today are a living example of the fun and wit in the space of his songs.
Sayed Mohammad mostly played his tambourine and recorded several times with Rashid Faiznejad, Rasoul Mirzapour, Fardin Tahiri, Ali Abedi and Osmana Soor.
Unfortunately, this artist of Saqiz region suffered from cancer in 1373 Solar calendar (1994 Gregorian) and passed away on 08-09-1374 Solar calendar (21-11-1995 Gregorian) and was buried in Shanaz cemetery in Saqiz city.[1]
