Taha Atiqi was from the city of #mahabad# eastern Kurdistan, he has got a bachelor's degree, and he was an announcer and a presenter of Mahabad Radio and Television before the Iranian People's Uprising in the year 1979.
After the victory of the revolution and the revelation of the party's struggle, Mr. Taha was one of the educated and hardworking people who had joined the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran and worked in the party's media organs. He was one of the founders that laid the ground for the formation of the Radio Voice of Kurdistan of Iran and he was a regular presenter, announcer and writer on the radio.
In addition to being responsible for Radio and being the head of the radio, Taha Atiqi also presented many programs, such as the program Replying to Listeners, and the analysis and discussion of the party's program and internal rules, with discussions and translations.
Mr. Taha was one of the closest friends and colleagues of the martyred leaders. Especially the late Dr. Sadeghi Sharafkandi.
After the 4th Congress of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in Iran, Mr. Taha was re-elected as an advisor to the central committee of the party.
The day he moved abroad he was still a prominent and tireless and well known cadre of the party's media.
On December 28, 2009, Mr. Taha Atiqi, a decades long activist and tireless person in the ranks of the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran, unfortunately passed away in Switzerland due to a heart attack.[1]
