He was born in 1953 in Qadir Karam township of Kirkuk city in Garmian region.
From 1971 to 1975, he was a Peshmerga in the Kirkuk forces in the 1st Battalion of Duz. He participated in most of the battles against the Ba'ath regime in Garmian.
He completed his primary education in Qadir Karam, secondary and high school in Kirkuk and Tel and Bethel Institute in Baghdad.
He then obtained a master’s degree in International Relations with honors, as well as several other degrees in the fields of (services, emergency, food security, logistics, infrastructure development, laws of working with the UN and several other degrees related to humanitarian work ) from the United Nations International Organization.
He has worked with the UN and peacekeeping forces as an international staff since 1991, working in many countries in Asia and Africa, and currently continues to work as a director in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (formerly Zaire).
In addition to his mother tongue (Kurdish), he speaks English, Arabic, Turkish, Persian, Hindi and Swahili.
He started writing in 1979 and most of his articles were published in the magazines (Bayan, Roshnbiri Nwe and Hawkari newspaper).
In 1998, he published a book of poems entitled (Zhrizhay Shapolkani Rokhana) in Kurdistan and he continues to write. Dozens of his articles appear in Kurdish websites and publications.
From 1970 to 1994, he appeared in several plays as an actor.

He is married and has five sons and two daughters (Aram, Hardi, Hataw, Diyar, Ari, Hedi, and Shayan).
He lives in Australia and participates in all activities of the Kurdish Association whenever he has the opportunity.
He is currently writing his memoirs with the UN and intends to publish them in a book entitled A Peshmerga's Experience with the UN and Peacekeeping Forces.[1]
