In her own words:
My name is Soma Khalid Abdulrahman, I was born in the year 1990 in the city of #Sulaimani# and grew up in the Eastern part of Kurdistan.
I started my primary education in the Eastern part of Kurdistan but I finished it in the Southern part.
I am fluent in the Persian language.
I was a member of the Kurdistan Students Association for four years. And during my studies, I participated in theater and I was also in the student dance group.
My work experiences:
For four years, I have worked as a news anchor, director, preparer and presenter on Kurdistan People's Radio and I was also a reporter on Kurdistan People's TV.
I have done dubbing work in Shko Drama Company and Baban Channel.
I worked as a presenter, host and reporter for Sterk for one year.
I worked as a journalist for Nishtiman Media Network.
I was the presenter of the Children's Festival event organized by Bahar Group and sponsored by Majidi Mall.
I worked for Forbes Magazine and E_Prent.
I worked as a presenter and reporter at Spi Media.
In addition, I have several certificates that I have participated in journalism courses, such as: Nalia Media, Rich Organization, Media Organization, Press Media, Internews and Metro Center.
In 2013, I became an active member of the Kurdistan Union of Journalists and in 2019, I was awarded the Best Personality of the Year by Kurdiu Organization for my work and efforts.
I am currently the head of the media department of Chapak Organization for Human Development and work as a reporter and presenter at Mawda Media.
I lived in Germany for three years.[1]
