در مدرسه رستمیه پذیرفته شد و در تابستان 1940 فارغ التحصیل شد و در مهرماه همان سال به عنوان معلم دبستان در استان سلیمانیە منصوب شد و در بسیاری از شهرها و روستاها به تدریس پرداخت. او چندین سال در روستاهای هورامان و حلبچه، در دامنه کوه سورداش، قمچوقه و روستاهای دیگر تدریس کرد، در این مدت او الفبای جدیدی برای آموزش زبان کردی ایجاد کرد، او نسخه خطی را به اداره آموزش و پرورش سلیمانیە ارسال کرد و در آنجا به تایید کمیته تخصصی رسید و به وزارت معارف در بغداد ارسال شد، سپس وزارت آموزش و پرورش و کارشناسان آن نام گرفت و یونسکو آن را تایید کرد و سپس انتشار آن را به عهده گرفت.
قبل از اتمام انتشار الفبای جدید، بالدار در سال 1950 به #اربیل# نقل مکان کرد و الفبای جدید را در اربیل تدریس کرد.
ابراهیم بالدار می خواست تحصیلات عالی خود را به پایان برساند از این رو با تلاش فراوان در امتحان عمومی دبیرستان قبول شد و در دانشکده تجارت و اقتصاد دانشگاه بغداد پذیرفته شد، و لیسانس گرفت و سعی کرد به آمریکا برود و در اوایل دهه 1960 فوق لیسانس تعلیم و تربیت را از کالج سانفرانسیسکو در آمریکا گرفت و به بغداد بازگشت. بالدار پس از افتتاح دانشگاه سلیمانیە و بازگشت از آمریکا به عنوان مدرس دانشکده این دانشگاه منصوب شد.
زمانی که دانشگاه به اربیل منتقل شد و به دانشگاه صلاح الدین تغییر نام داد، مدتی در دانشکده - گروه کردی تدریس کرد. او سپس برای تدریس در دانشگاه مستنصریه به بغداد رفت تا اینکه در 11-07-1998 قلبش از تپش ایستاد. جسد او را به سلیمانیە بردند و در قبرستان تپه سیوان به خاک سپردند.[1]
