Abdullah Hassan Zadeh is one of the Kurdish leaders who has more than 50 years of political and Peshmerga struggle against Shah's regime and the current Islamic Republic. His struggle is not only political but also culturally and intellectually he has given a lot to his nation.
Although the date of his birth is unclear, he was born in 1938 or 1939 in the village of Simer in #Sardasht#, East Kurdistan.
He was still a child when his father died and he does not remember when his father left the world, but later his older brother took care of his family and completed his Islamic studies.
He grew up in a social and religious family and his father and older brother encouraged him to study and go to the mullah of the mosque. He followed the wishes of his father and brother and started his studies and then successfully completed his studies as a mullah. He worked as a mullah in several parts of Kurdistan for many years. He was a refugee between Garmian (The warmer part of Kurdistan) and Kwestan (The cooler part of Kurdistan) because of his Kurdishness. He eventually became a refugee in Iraq and settled in #Baghdad#.
The beginning of national thought for this Kurdish leader goes back to his studies in the mosque. Through the lives and works of Malai Gawra (the Great Mullah), Ahmadi Khani and Haji Qader of Koya, the love of the nation and country poured into his heart and mind.
He was 8 to 9 years old when a number of people in his village were members of the Democratic Party. A member of the Democratic Party who was an agha had a radio that broadcast the anthem of Ay Raqib and Fayeq Bekas's poems and Democratic messages had also been published from there , which created even more excitement in Abdullah Hassanzadeh's heart and mind.
All these factors played a major role in his joining the party as a child and he became a member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran at the age of 13 at the hands of a group of democratic members in his village.
Hassanzadeh is not only a politician, but also a historian, researcher and poet. He started writing poems in his youth, some of which are national and some of which were for love.
He began his political career with the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran while studying his Islamic Studies and later as a mullah. His social and religious position helped him to create the a very good composition for the party.
He was elected to all congresses and conferences except the 8th and 13th Congresses. He was the secretary of the Kurdistan Democratic Party for nearly ten years. He served four terms as deputy secretary.
He was a member of the Political Bureau since 1971. He says I can say that he was with Hemn for eight years.
He says: I may have published 15 books. They have translated about 10 books, all but two of which were literary.[1]
