The first Yazidi District Commissioner!
Haji Mado was born in 1938 from the village of Bahzani. Graduated from the Institute of Teachers. He practiced the profession of teaching. He was appointed as District Commissioner of the Sheikhan district in 1970 and stayed for two months, then he got into a car accident (it is said that the accident was planned) that took his life after he spent two weeks in the hospital.
Among his achievements despite the short period:
Construction of a new street for Lalish Temple.
Establishing a project to build the government role for the two employees.
Establishing a bus transport line between Mosul and Al-Sheikhan, as it was not previously allowed to leave the bus outside the borders of the city of Mosul. Preventing the indiscriminate carrying of weapons and restricting them to the hands of the state.
The most important thing is his visit to the Yazidi villages in which the Arabs were settled by the government, and he told them to leave the Yazidi villages and return the Yazidis to their villages, such as the village of Berstek, but the accident prevented him from completing the mission, and his only demand from the Governor of Nineveh, Saadi Ayash Areem, during the governor’s visit to him in the hospital, was to return the Yazidis to their villages, and he died two months after his appointment, as he did not complete the march that might have changed the political map in the region and restored the rights of the Yazidis, or at least the Yazidis would have had their prestige and authority.
A thousand mercy on his pure soul and blessings be upon his family, and they are worthy of it.
