He was born in 1931 in Koya to a businessman family. He went to school in 1938.
In 1947, after the collapse of the Kurdistan Republic, he returned to the Kurdistan Region in Mahabad and was sentenced to one year in prison.
In 1949, he was expelled from high school and sentenced to one year in prison and one year under police surveillance by the military customary court in Baghdad for membership in the Iraqi Communist Party.
Until 1955, he was imprisoned and sentenced several times.
In 1955, he was sentenced to three years in prison and two years in police custody.
He was released from prison eight months before the July 14, 1958 revolution.
He got married on 16-06-1959.
After the coup d'etat of February 8, 1963, he went to the mountains until 1970, and was forced into hiding and exile. From early 1979 to mid-1986, he returned to the mountains and lived a very difficult life.
In late 1960, he became a member of the Kurdistan Regional Committee of the Iraqi Communist Party. In late 1972, he became a member of the Central Committee of the Iraqi Communist Party until the Fourth Congress.
He has four sons and two daughters. His children have completed higher education in electronics, technology and art.
