Sadiq Hariri was born in 1947 in Harir village. Hariri's mother and father belonged to the Barzanji tribe and were known as Sheikh Saeed. Sadiq Hariri had a very beautiful voice and started singing since childhood. In the early 1960s, mobile cinemas were available in Harir and people were singing songs after watching the movies, and he sang with them. He also participated in several plays as an actor at school. Sadiq Hariri graduated from the Teachers College in 1969-1970.
He then became a teacher and the first school he worked in was the village of Zeti in Argosh. Then he came to Choman Galalayi in the 1970s where he remained a teacher until 1974.
Sadiq Hariri participated in the September Revolution. He was one of the loyal Peshmergas. He returned to Harir in 1975. He was very loyal to the Kurdish cause and encouraged young people to participate in the Kurdish movement.
Sadiq Hariri had a very strong friendship with Tahir Tofiq, but he never wanted to sing himself unless Tahir Tofiq allowed him. Sadiq Hariri has a very nice and special voice.
When Tahir Tofiq died, clothes, glasses and all these were donated to Sadiq Hariri.
Sadeq Hariri has a son who has followed in his father's footstep and has become a singer.
Artist Sadiq Hariri has seen many hardships in his life, one of which was the loss two sons. His first wife died of burns, which had a profound effect on Sadiq Hariri.
Sadiq Hariri eventually fell ill in 2009 and suffered several strokes. On 16-09-2014, he suffered a heart attack and passed away.[1]
