He was born in 1942 in Sulaymaniyah.
He entered the world of singing in the 1960s, then became more engaged in composing and composed for several Kurdish and Arab singers.
Jamal Jalal moved to Baghdad as a child and joined Baghdad Radio at the age of 14. He has more than 50 songs, of which only 10 are missing.
In his artistic career, Jamal Jalal has worked with Hama Salih Dilan, Rafiq Chalak, Dr. Balqis and Shamal Saib.
He has also performed as an oud player for several famous Arab singers, including Lebanese singer Wadi Safi, Lebanese singer Sabah Khanum and Egyptian singer Sayed Makawi, among others.
He died on 21-08-2016.[1]
