Naqshbandi is a Kurdish physician from the family of the Naqshbandi Sheikhs of Hawramabad region. He has lived in the United States of America for the past 25 years.
In addition to holding a degree in political science from the University of Houston in Texas, he also received several scientific degrees in oral surgery and dental implants.
He holds the world's highest scientific degree in his field, the Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. Dr. Omar's receipt of this higher scientific degree has attracted the attention of the media in the United States and Europe and several magazines and newspapers of those countries have interviewed him.
He has volunteered to organize medical teams in the United States several times to help and treat Kurds who have fled to the United States and Europe as a result of violence by the authorities of the countries where Kurds are oppressed.
He also helped the expelled and refugees of Kosovo during the liberation war.
Since 2002, he has been returning to the Kurdistan Region annually from the United States on duty and in addition to giving lectures to doctors and students of the College of Dentistry on the latest medical developments in this field, he has brought tens of thousands of dollars worth of toothbrushes, toothpaste and equipment for the treatment of gum diseases from the United States to Kurdistan and distributed them to the Kurdish children and hospitals.
During his stays in Kurdistan, he sees and treats the poor patients who cannot afford to treat their diseases.
In addition, he has participated in several live programs in his field through the media channels and has given free advice to people with gum and dental diseases.[1]
