During the Ba'ath regime, he had a special detachment of traitors and after the uprising, the PUK retired him with the rank of colonel.
Aziz Hamad Mawlud Shekhani, also known as Mullah Uzair, was the chief of the 130th Battalion of the Kurdish traitors.
During the Anfal campaign in 1988, Mullah Uzair had 1,750 traitors under his command.
Mullah Ozer was a Peshmerga of the United Kurdistan Socialist Party in the late 1970s. He eventually returned to the regime and became commander of a special detachment and later the chief of the 130th Battalion. During this period, he martyred 61 Kurdish Peshmergas and citizens, or was involved in their martyrdom and execution.
On 9.8.1981, Mullah Ozer Shekhani arrested Anwar Omar Salih Ghaib, also known as Dr. Parwari, who was then a member of the Kurdistan Socialist Party. He was sentenced to seven years in prison on 18.2.1982. However, on 22.7.1982, he was pardoned and released.
On 7.11.1981, Mullah Ozer arrested Najiba Jawad Ma'roof, wife of Mohsin Osman Hamad (Shorazardkeyi), and their daughter Hataw. Mohsin Osman Hamad Younis, a former Peshmerga, political cadre and head of organizations in the Peshmerga forces of the Kurdistan Socialist Party, is now a member of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK). Najiba Khan was pregnant when she was arrested and on 7.6.1982 she gave birth to a daughter named Biaban. All three were later released on 19.7.1982.
On 1.1.1982, Mullah Ozer arrested Sayyid Ismail Abdulhamid Omar, a resident of Chalagarda village of Qushtapa township. He was later sentenced to three years in prison. He was released on 22.7.1982.
At 1:00 am on Friday, July 30, 1982, Mullah Ozer Shekhani arrested nine comrades of the Kurdistan Socialist Party, two of whom were later executed.
Mullah Ozer Hamad Mawlud Shekhani participated in the Anfal campaign against the residents of Shuan, Qarahanjir and Koya plain.
Mullah Ozer Hamad Mawlud, the chief of the 130th battalion of the traitors, has been given number 229 on the wanted list.
Mullah Ozer, a member of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), died on Friday (5.2.2021) in the Netherlands.[1]
