Artushi clan
This clan was part of the alliance of the Hadhbaniya - Al-Rawadiya - Al-Mazuriyyah clan during certain historical stages, It is a large clan that mainly lives in #Dohuk# Until the 16th century AD, we rarely encountered the name of this clan in historical sources, Starting from the beginning of 1700 AD, we find the name of this clan abundantly in historical sources, Dr. Fritz says in his book The Kurds that the Artoshi clan is among the clans that live in Hakkari and consists of 4,000 families. In the Damdum Castle incident, the Safavid Shah committed a major massacre against the Artushi clan, Mark Sykes says that the Ortoshi clan is a famous clan, and they live in Sarhad and Iran, and that this clan has weight and prestige in Iraq and Turkey, Bloody conflicts occurred between the clan of the Artushi and the Dusky. In the year 1897, bloody conflicts occurred between them, and more than 80 people from the notables of the two clans were killed. Likewise, bloody conflicts occurred between them and the Nestorians, where the Nestorians attacked the village of Khan, which is one of the villages of the Artushids, and they massacred the sons, elders, and children of this clan. 1- The great classical poet: Mulla Hussein Bati, and he has a collection of poetry and the Prophet’s birthday in the Kurdish language
2- Minister Alaeddin Aqbugha Al-Jamal Al-Hathbani Al-Atrushi, and he was one of the senior Mamluk statesmen, and he was the minister of Al-Zahir Barquq in Aleppo, and he died in 1403 AD. In the city of Aleppo, there is a large mosque built by the Etruscan minister, and it is called the Al-Atroushi Mosque. [1] [2]
