His full name is Hemin Namiq Jamil.
He was born in 1982 in #Erbil# . He obtained a bachelor's degree in political science in 2003 and a master's degree in 2008 on Turkey-EU relations by an excellent degree. After graduating from university, Hemin Mirani worked for the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) newspaper Khabat from 2004 to 2011. And from 2009 to 2011, he wrote a weekly column on sensitive political issues in the newspaper Aso under the name Mizhar. In 2006, together with a number of friends, he founded the Kurdistan Institute for Political Issues, a Kurdistan NGO specializing in polls (See his website http://www.kipi2005.org for more information). First he becomes the head of the organization's media then from 2009 to 2011, he became the president of the institute. On #01-02-2011# he voluntarily resigned from the Presidency of the Kurdistan Institute for Political Issues, and traveled to the UK as part of the Kurdistan Youth Capacity Program (HCDP). He lived in Bangor, Wales for the first year and in Leicester, England for the next four years. He received his PhD in Politics and Governance from the University of Leicester on 12 July 2017 with a thesis on fighting corruption in post-conflict countries. While living in the UK, he was the President of the Kurdish Students Association at the University of Leicester and from 2015 to 2017 he worked as a translator with the NHS.
In 2017 he returned to Kurdistan and resumed teaching at Soran University.
In 2018, he participated in the establishment and management of Kurdistan 24 Research and Survey Center as a founding member and head of the survey department.
In November 2018, he was appointed Dean of the Faculty of Law and International Relations at Soran University.
Hemin Mirani, on December 30, 2022, was appointed Director General of the Office of the Ministry of Interior of the Kurdistan Regional Government.
