İstanbul Bilgi University organized a conference called “Kurds Beyond Borders: Transforming Spaces and Identities” on Oct. 25, 2014. The conference involved four thematic panels which touched upon extremely important issues with regards to interpreting the past, present and future developments in Kurdish politics, namely: “History, Space and Diaspora,” “The Rojava Experience: Quest for Transnationalism,” “Transformation, Peace and Neoliberalism” and a closing panel that brought together significant names from Turkish and Kurdish media.
