Famous Kurdish director Ali Badrkhan has received the Nile Prize in Egypt, the highest award given annually to thinkers in the fields of art, literature and social sciences. Ali Badrkhan, 71, was awarded the prize in 2017 in Egypt, which is nominated by the Egyptian High Council of Culture and awarded to thinkers and artists. Ali Badrkhan was born in 1946 in Cairo, Egypt. He was the son of Kurdish director Ahmad Badrkhan and married to actress Suad Hosni.
