Rights and Freedom Promoter of Kurdistan stand firm against assassinating the journalist Wedat Husse
Documents

While journalists report news and events in the front lines in the battle against ISIS on behalf of Peshmarga`s advance, they face challenges internally in Kurdistan. Unfortunately, on 13 August 2016, we have heart the assassinating event of Wadat Hussien Ali known as Wedat Duhoki, a journalist who worked for RojNews Agency in the city of Duhok. This event is reminding and re-traumatizing the families of victim and assassinated journalists. At the same time, it is violating the rights of journalists and freedom of speech in Kurdistan. We inquire Kurdistan Regional Government, the Kurdistan Region Security Council, the ministry on Interior to find the murders and surrender them to court.
From yesterday, today, and future, we have always been promoter of journalists` rights and withstand against violating their rights and freedom whether the journalists are the members of the Syndicate or not.
