İdris Barzani

İdris Barzani (1944 – 31 Ocak, 1987) Kürt politikacı. Kürdistan Bölgesel Yönetimi eski başkanı Mesud Barzani'nin kardeşi ve Kürdistan Bölgesel Yönetimi'nin şimdiki başkanı Neçirvan Barzani'nin babasıdır. Kürdistan Demokratik Partisi için sık sık diplomatik gezilerdeydi. 31 Ocak 1987'de, 43 yaşında kalp krizi geçirerek hayatını kaybetmiştir.

İdris Barzani defalarca Kürt siyasi partilerini birleştirmek için Kürtleri bir araya getiren bir Kürdistan Kongresi düzenlemeye çalıştı, ancak erken ölümü görevini bitirmesine izin vermedi.[1]
Hayatı
Erken yaşam
1944 yılında Irak'ın bir köyü olan Barzan'da dünyaya gelen İdris, babası, ailesi ve binlerce Peşmerge ile birlikte 11 ay süren yeni kurulan Mahabad Cumhuriyeti'ne katılmak için Mahabad'a taşındı, Mahabad'ın işgalinin ardından Barzan'a geri döndü. Molla Mustafa Barzani ve 500 taraftarı, Kürt halkına zulmeden komşu rejimlere teslim olmayı reddederek Sovyetler Birliği'ne gitti. Barzani, 1960 devrimlerinde görev yapan Peşmerge'ye genç yaşta katıldı.

Irak - Kürt Özerklik Anlaşması (1970)
Barzani Ailesi liderliğindeki Irak Kürtleri'nin sürekli bağımsızlık için isyan etmesi ve büyük Irak şehirlerini ele geçirmeleri sonucunda, 10 Mart 1970'de Irak rejimi sonunda Kürtler'le Kuzey Irak'ta özerk bir bölge oluşturulması konusunda anlaşmaya vardı. İdris Barzani anlaşmanın işlenmesinde önemli bir rol oynadı, kendisi ve kardeşi Mesud Barzani, 11 Mart 1970'de anlaşmayı kutlayan yüz binlerce Iraklının katıldığı bir mitingden önce Bağdat'a gitti.

Sürgün
1975'te barış anlaşmasının bozulmasının ardından, Barzani ailesi İran'a yerleşen binlerce Kürt aile ile birlikte KDP, kendini yeniden örgütlemeye çalışırken kaotik bir dönem geçirdi. 1979'da Molla Mustafa Barzani'nin ölümünün ardından KDP'nin 1979'da kongresi yapıldı. Mesud Barzani parti başkanı oldu. İdris Barzani, kardeşi Mesud Barzani'nin parti liderliğinde KDP üst düzey stratejisti oldu. Partiyi sık sık batıda temsil etti ve Kürt hakları için lobiler yaptı. İdris Barzani 31 Ocak 1987'de kalp krizi geçirerek aniden hayatını kaybetti, İran Kürdistanı Uşnu'da toprağa verildi. 1993 yılında babası Mustafa Barzani’nin cenazesi ile beraber kendi cenazesi de özel bir merasimle Barzan bölgesine taşındı.[1]
