Behruz Boçani

Behruz Boçani (23 Temmuz 1983, İlam) İranlı Kürt gazeteci, insan hakları savunucusu, şair, yazar ve film yapımcısı. 2013'ten beri Manus Adası'nda bir gözaltı merkezinde mülteci olarak yaşayan Bocani, cep telefonuyla yazdığı No Friend But the Mountains: Writing from Manus Prison (Dağlardan başka dost yok: Manus cezaevinden notlar) isimli kitabıyla Avustralya'nın en prestijli ödüllerinden Victoria Edebiyat Ödülü'nü kazandı. Bocani ödülünü almaya gidemedi[1].

Hayatı
2013 yılında İran'ın İlam kentinde kurucusu olduğu Kürtçe edebiyat dergisi Werya'nın bürosuna baskın yapılarak hakkında tutuklama kararı çıkartılan Bocani ülkesini terk etmek zorunda kaldı. Sığınma başvurusu kabul edilmedi ve Manus Adası'ndaki gözaltı merkezine gönderildi.[1]

2017'de, Arash Kamali Sarvestani ile birlikte hazırladığı, Manus Adası'ndaki günlerini konu alan Chauka, Please Tell Us the Time adlı bir belgesel yayınlandı.

2018'de İtalya'da uluslararası gazetecilik ödülü aldı.
