This volume, prepared and published by the Ministry of Aviation in London in August 1929, is one of a set of Consisting of ten volumes issued to the British Army in Iraq. Zone 9 includes a central zone Kurdistan and the volume is divided into chapters on history, population, political geography, and physical geography Climate, communications, resources, tribes, aviation and VIPs. The folder also contains Several maps of important Kurdish cities and towns, as well as two maps of District 9.
The chapters contain information of importance to military units and therefore it includes statistics Detailed on the military readiness of both the indigenous population and the Turkish forces in the area.
