He was born in 1971 in Bana, East Kurdistan. He has worked in theater for 16 years in the fields of directing, writing plays and acting. In late 2000, he saw a film by Northern Kurdish director Yılmaz Gönay for the first time and realized the importance of cinema, as he describes it. In 2005, he produced his first film, The Pain of Eternal Separation, which deals with youth migration abroad, the chemical attack on Halabja, mines in Kurdistan and terrorism. He later produced the short film Hawar about the murder of women, which won several awards in Iran and abroad and was shown on several prominent channels. He later produced the short film Auctioned Moments, but this film has not yet been licensed. Later, the director produced the short film (Terrorist Descends), the short film (Dance of Colors) and the short film (Satellite) which are a number of works produced in the Kurdistan Region and participated in several festivals. After the experience of all these short films, the director worked on a feature film again with the 100-minute film (End of War) in the Kurdistan Region, which won Zabihi a camera as a prize. He later produced the film “The Last Day” about women's self-immolation in Kurdish society. He then produced the film Land of Legends about Saddam's trial. The director has completed a one-year course at the Iranian Youth Film Council and has sold his house twice to produce his films.
In the evening of #07-12-2018#, he and his brother Keyvan Zabihi were killed in a suspicious traffic accident.[1]
