He was born in 1922 in the village of Qaladga near Erbil. He was educated in Erbil and became an intellectual. He developed his talent in hairan since childhood and tried his harmony with all kinds of Kurdish songs, and eventually realized his talent in singing Hairan. He has become the greatest Kurdish hairan singer and his name and voice echoed throughout the country.
In early 1947, he went to Baghdad and presented a weekly live song concert on Baghdad Radio and Television - Kurdish Section. He recorded more than 680 authentic and original Kurdish songs and maqams, most of them hairan and basta.
He also wrote poetry and was known as Rasul Bezar Gardi. He published these books of his own poetry and the poetry of other Kurdish poets:
1- Bzhari Lauk u Hairan - Published in 1957 in Baghdad and has 106 pages.
2- Gula Melaqay Kurdistan - published in 1960 in Baghdad and has 154 pages.
3- Shilan and Shler - Published in 1967 in Baghdad, 130 pages.
4- Darashakran – published in 2007.
5- Panger – published in 2008.
This Kurdish artist had a national attitude, was very loyal to his beloved nation and country, so after the outbreak of the September Revolution, especially after the resumption of war in the spring of 1974, like all intellectuals and artists, he fled to the mountains.
On 17-10-1994, he passed away in his own home in Iskan neighborhood of Erbil and was buried in the presence of artists and friends.
This artist will remain immortal in the hearts and consciences of all Kurdish people.[1][2]
