He was born in 1971 in Sina. He started his theatrical activities in 1982. He graduated from the College of Fine Arts of Tehran University in 1988 and obtained a master's degree in cinema from the same college.
He won first prize in three art competitions in 1991, 1992 and 1993. He has worked in the field of animation for children's books. He is currently a member of the International Relations Committee of the Young Filmmakers Council of the Iranian Short Film Foundation.
