the poet Pirbal Mahmood Ibrahim was born in 1934 in the city of #Erbil# and he passed away on the day #17-10-2004#. He left behind himself many nice and brilliant published and hand written works of poetry and literature.
This talented poet began writing poetry while he was still a high school student in Erbil high school and was first he was influenced by Arab immigrant poets. He was influenced by poets like Elia Abu Mazi, Jubran Khalil Jubran and the Egyptian poet Ali Mahmoud Taha. He wrote very attractive romantic poems in the Arabic language that are considered among the successful romantic poems. In the second step that he took, he entered the field of Kurdish poetry with a great treasure and hand of national literature and published many strong poems in several books of poetry and occasionally wrote poetry in the Turkmen language as well.
The poet played an important and prominent role in the establishment of the new Kurdish Writers Union and with the establishment of that Kurdish literary organization on 02-10-1970 he became an active member and participated in the founding congress which was held on June 23 and 24, in the year 1970 in the city of Baghdad. Later he became the Kurdish writer’s committee in the Erbil branch. And after the committee received the official document to work. He was a member of the organizing committee of the establishment conference of the branch, which was held on 15-01-1971 in the Gal's Hall in the city of Erbil.[1]
