He is one of the greatest Kurdish artists of the Yarsan religion. He was born in the year 1957 in Sahneh, Kermanshah, Eastern Kurdistan and began playing the tambourine, a sacred musical instrument of the Kurds of the Yarsan religion, under the influence of his father, Shamurad Alinejad.
Sayyid Khalil received religious and artistic education from many famous tambourine teachers of his time, such as Sayyid Amrullah Shaibrahimi, Darwish Khalil, Abdin Khademi and many others.
He graduated from Tehran University of Arts in the late 1970s. He graduated from Tehran University of Arts and in the 1980s he formed several music and tambourine groups and composed many valuable solo works.
Khalil Alinejad has also played tambourine on Shahram Nazeri's Dengi Evin.
In the late 1980s, Sayed Khalil left his homeland forever and lived in Tehran, capital of Iran, for several years before leaving Iran to seek asylum in Sweden.
Finally, on #18-11-2001# in Gothenburg, Sweden, Khalil Alinejad was killed in his own school by unknown people and his school was set on fire.
So far, Swedish authorities have not published the results of the investigation public.
It is worth mentioning that the artist, Sayed Khalil Alinejad, was under pressure from the regime's intelligence forces in Iran. He was eventually forced to leave Kurdistan and settle abroad.
