Farrukh Fooladi was born in 1355 Solar calendar (1976 Gregorian calendar) in Urmia, Eastern Kurdistan. He received his bachelor's degree in conducting from Mahabad University, in Mahabad (also known as Sablakh), East Kurdistan. In 1988, he started playing sitar and saz instruments without a teacher. A year later, he went to learn the instrument from Mr. Behrooz Rezaei. In 1993, he joined Mr. Mozafar Gulkar and later went to Sina to learn guitar from Mr. Jamshid Nikkha.
In 1996 he went to Bokan to learn the Divan instrument from Mr. Ako Parnian. He is currently a guitar teacher in Saqiz. He is also a guitar teacher in Lauzhay Mukurian and Hora schools.
He got married in 2006.
He has participated in many artistic activities, some of them are:
Kermanshah Music Festival, Tehran, capital of Iran.
2005 Music Festival in Sardasht, Eastern Kurdistan.
Music Festival in 1997 in Urmia, Eastern Kurdistan.
1995 Music Festival in Sina, Eastern Kurdistan.
He has participated in the preparation of several works of the artist Khabat Mawludi, composed the second album of Behnam Tahiri and several songs of Mohammad Afshari in Saqiz and has been a judge in a few music festivals in Urmia, Bana and Saqiz.
Farrukh has also written musical articles and prepared three books on guitar, CDs and illustrations.
He has written the books 1, 2, 3 of Guitar by Measurement and Basic Method of the University of Iceland.
He is currently preparing a concise book on the making of diwan with CDs and pictures.
In 2007, he established a studio for recording his musical works.[1]
