In her own words:
I was born in 1975 in #Sulaymaniyah#. I was blind since my childhood. There was no institute for the blind people in the city of Sulaymaniyah. So I went to #Erbil# immediately but because I was very young i came back to Sulaymaniyah and could not finish my studies. I became a member of Sulaymaniyah music band in 1991 and started my artistic career.[1]
